Dutch entrepeneurs in the food industry are producing durable products more and more often. It appears consumers choose durably produced food over regularly produced food and because of that, the Ministry of EL&I wants to increase the supply of durable products on the market.
These are some conclusions that were made during the ‘Duurzaam Food Congres’ (Durable Food Congress) that took place the 25th of january.
At this congress, inspiring speakers of the ministry of EL&I, Wakker Dier, FairFoodCompany, ING, Cono Kaasmakers, Ben & Jerry’s, FoodPolicy, P4, Private Label Consult and VBZ were giving tips and insights in the following subjects:
– the advantages of Private Label retailers to motivate consumers to start consuming more durable
– the political aspect of durability
– durabilisation of your organisation
– possibilities to make money with durablity
More information on the Duurzaam Food Congres can be found here (Dutch).
